Scammers are very inventive personality. As soon as we learned to recognize and block one fraud scheme, they immediately come up with a new one.

Today I will tell you about three adapted schemes for the work of the rogues, which are counting on your honesty. Why is it important to know them? Because with the correct reaction, the fraudster will not only be able to get started, but also may lose some of the funds.

So what are the schemes and how can we «punish» a fraudster?

The first scheme: «Sorry, translated my mother, and went to you»

You receive a message about the transfer of a small amount of money on the card and immediately a message that money came to you by mistake. Further, playing on your honesty, the fraudster asks to return the money, but to send them not back, and to the one to whom they were intended, for example, his mother. And for this indicates the details where to transfer money. If you go on the rogue, it will be a fixed payment for binding a map to any Internet service, and the money will then be charged until the bill will be reset. After the transfers you have completed, fraudsters do not need any codes or SMS. Now they can make purchases and with the help of services attached to the service card without additional verification.

Scheme Second: «Advance payment on the announcement site»

Buyer from the site announcements will be asked to send an advance for a purchase on a bank card, which actually belongs to another potential victim. Then the fraudsters convince the resulting «erroneous translation» to return money to another card, for example, «Moms» or «Friends». Here the attacker does not risk anything, but the method of confusing traces is used. After all, the final sender of funds will not worry about anything: he won so much and sent, and the buyer from the site will not only receive the goods, but also will lose an advance.

Third Scheme: «Mobile Translation»

You receive an SMS message about the receipt of funds to the account translated using the Mobile Translation Service or from the Term Terminal. Immediately after that, the call comes, and you report that money is mistakenly translated into your account and ask you to return them back the same «mobile translation» or translate to the «right» number. You translate, after which the same amount is written off from your account.

To write off the sum from your account for the second time, the attacker uses a check, issued when transferring money. He refers to the operator with a statement about the erroneous making of funds and a request to translate them to its number.

That is, for the first time you translate money at his request, and for the second time he receives them according to the rules of refund. And again the attacker played on your honesty.

What to do in this situation? How can you resist a fraudster?

Stay honest, but do not rush to make reverse translations, even if the translation and the truth was mistaken and the fraudsters here do nothing. Suggest a call to you (writing) to you to contact the bank or to the operator to return funds to the established procedure. Do not give in attempts to put pressure on pity and urgency of translation. You do not violate anything, but to install one by one call, the fraudster addressed you or just an inattentive person, just unreal. In case of mistakes, the bank will simply return the money to the one who translated them, in case it was a fraudster, he may not even turn to the bank, and therefore his deception will come to him sideways.
